Blake's Blessing

Brandon and Melissa blessed their baby on Sunday, May 6th so we made another weekend trip to Salt Lake to see the fam!  Here's the proof of our exciting happenings:

• Enjoying the sunshine at Barnes Park in Kaysville on Friday afternoon

• Grandpa had a great idea to take the FrontRunner train into Salt Lake to check out the new City Creek Mall on Saturday.  Ryan LOVED the train and has been talking about it for weeks ever since!  A fun memory we created with Grandpa that will last a long time :)  (Unfortunately, Grandma had to work all weekend - we missed her and will have to go again with her another time!)

• City Creek was pretty amazing too!  After a yummy french toast breakfast at Kneaders, we checked out the rest of the mall.  Ryan had a great time with the outdoor water features and playing on the "soft play" dinosaurs at the Food Court.  We also loved seeing all the fish in the creek, and Colton even got a nap in the stroller.  We made one last stop to see Grandpa's new office downtown before getting back on the train to head home.

• Saturday evening we met up with Brandon, Melissa and Blake for dinner at The Pizza Factory.  They were thoughtful enough to get together with us while we were in town.  A quick dinner, then we headed to a new custard place called Galaxy - delish!

• Sunday afternoon we all attended Brandon and Melissa's ward, where Brandon gave a beautiful blessing.  Afterwards, they hosted a nice luncheon at their house for all their family and friends.  It was great to be able to see everyone and to be there for Blake's baby blessing.
