Taylor's Baby Blessing
You know how Disneyland is supposed to be the "happiest place on earth?" Well, I'm convinced that for the Taylor boys, Lake Powell is the happiest place on earth. The annual trip to the lake hadn't been annual for a couple years (moving, pregnancy, etc) so we decided this year we'd better make it happen. Clark and Char were kind enough to invite us to go with them, so we made the trek south and had a great time. Other than sleeping under the stars in a crazy lightening/rain/flash flood storm, good times were had by all. We even made it to Rainbow Bridge!
Taylor's Baby Blessing
After getting back from the lake, we met up with the rest of the Taylor clan (and the Hazleton's) for Taylor's baby blessing. It was neat to see everyone and to have the entire family together, even if it wasn't for very long. Thanks Tige and Julie for hosting all of us!

Sunday Family Reunion - Palisade State Park
After our time in Southern Utah with the Taylors, we headed to central Utah to go camping with the Sundays. We all met at Palisade State Park for a camping adventure. In terms of the weather, an adventure it was! We had thunderstorms and WIND almost every day. Unfortunately, the uncooperative weather made it difficult to do as much as we would have liked, but we all had fun nonetheless. Games, golfing, bike rides, visiting, sing-alongs with the guitar, and LOTS OF GOOD FOOD! Thanks everyone for a fun get away!

Snake River Run
After the Palisade trip, we came home, unloaded all our stuff into the garage (notice I did not say unpack - there was no time for that), slept one night in our own bed, then headed up the canyon to the Snake River. Every year Cristal's family (the Downs') are generous enough to invite us to run the river with them. It's an annual trip we always look forward to. We didn't camp or make a week of it this year (any guesses why?) but we did make it up for one day and Andy and I each got in a good run. Thanks to the Downs family!
We came home from the river run and wrapped up our summer. A fun, eventful summer, and now we're back to school. We had a great time traveling and visiting family and friends. Now we have some wonderful memories!
