Ryan at 10 months

A quick update on what Ryan is doing these days...and believe me - he's doing plenty!

• Ryan LOVES to laugh! He giggles at everything, and he thinks his dad is especially funny. He stills does his "head-bobble" along with is laugh, which is pretty cute.
  

• He's eating more and more baby food, but no other solids. In fact, every finger food we've given him he chokes on, gags on, or scrapes off his tongue with his fingers. He can't seem to figure out why I would ever want to put something "non-pureed" in his mouth!

• Ryan has gotten much more independent the last few weeks. He will sit on the floor and play with toys for quite awhile, with or without someone else. Of course, he loves having someone near, but he's getting to where he's OK without us right nearby.

• He claps his hands whenever music comes on, or if he's excited about something. He also waves "hi" and "bye" as people come and go.

• Ryan loves to be outside...not much to say about that - he's just happy when we're outdoors!

• Most exciting (I think?) is that Ryan is becoming even more mobile. Not quite crawling, but very close. He does the "army-crawl," pulling himself around with his arms. He still loves to roll around as well.

• Ryan is still dealing with an ear infection (2 months later), but it finally seems to be improving. We're hoping this isn't going to be a chronic problem, but odds are this won't be the last of the ear problems we see. He's also had a bout of the flu, so I continue to hear from the doctor about his weight (or lack thereof). At 10 months, he weighs 13 pounds, 15 ounces. He's still wearing 0-3 month and some 3-6 month clothes, and size 1 diapers.

We love you Baby Ryan...you're growing up too fast!
